One of my biggest pet peeves in the relationship realm is the silly notion that the guy has to be taller, and if he isn't it's "unnatural" and "weird". Lies, I tell you. Lies!
Sure, what girl doesn't like to be wrapped up inside a great big hug and feel small and secure in her man's arms? I realize that it's pretty much every girl's fantasy to be protected by some big and strong guy; but in reality, not every man is 6'3" with a dashing smile and chiseled biceps (and that's okay, because not every girl is a Cinderella with -2 waistline and size 3 shoe).
I may or may not stand at six feet with a little bit of a bias. All of the guys that I've been with have been my height or shorter, and we've both been fine with it. In the end, that's not what matters, so why make a big deal out of it to being with?
Guys, does it bother you when the girl you're with is taller than you? Girls, what about you? Does it bother you if your guy is shorter than you?

Thanks for your visit today.
I think that height should never matter. The guy might have an ego problem, but that is silly. If both the gal and guy love Jesus, it will work out fine.

@NVRSAD_DAY@xanga - and thank you for the comment!
I agree. Height isn't the real issue, it's the ego and associations of the height.
The best relationship advice I've ever heard: "marry a man who loves Jesus, and don't get a divorce".
I'm already short so I wouldn't be able to comment too much on this, but many of my friends think this way- personally, height doesn't matter. I have guy friends that have dated girls taller than them- and they're totally fine with it. I know quite a few where I live since everyone there is short anyways lol (japan- but not not really not everyone is that short). If you love the person, it shouldn't matter too much about the physical appearance.
@BearHugs - That last part is the challenge now a day---and don't get a divorce. We never did discuss divorce, but I am sure the thought went through our minds a few times. Thing is, we never really did any 'biggies.' The worst I did (I think) is running up $15,000 in credit card charges early in our marriage and not tell her. The day of reckoning was very painful.
Yes, it sort of does.
Same heigh is ok. Shorter, not so much.
that's when it's a good thing to live in Scandinavia though. Where all the guys actually are 6'3"
@contently_unimpressive@xanga - That's where I need to live! (though it's my Scandinavian roots that have made me the height I am)
